I took to calling this series The Slow Invasion because in this universe Earths economy gets bound up to humankinds detriment in the trade of bigger and more advanced cultures. It can make for a frustrating watch and even when the first batch of episodes manage to keep you hooked with a couple of shocking beats the pace still at times feels lethargic as if the world isnt really. A slow-moving often tedious disaster drama Invasion takes five episodes to get through what a blockbuster movie might take care of in half an hour.
