When the film starts off it sets itself up as a conventional niche western. Slow West Vultures is the first song on the album We Shall All Be Healed. But once it introduces its two leads Kodi Smit-McPhee Jay Cavendish and Michael Fassbender Silas Sellick it takes the audience on a different horseback ride if you will than were accustomed to from this genre. Slow West is only 84 minutes long but it feels a lot longer in a good way by how big the scope is both emotionally and physically.
